Waste Water Treatment
In a conventional method, Sludge is separated from solids and liquids in a settling tank, through clarification. Based on available data, wastewater treatment can effectively remove a minimum of 90% of microplastics from wastewater, with the highest removals from tertiary treatment (filtration).
Coagulation and Ultrafiltration
The Ultrafiltration process (UF), coupled with the coagulation step, is one of the leading water treatment technologies currently proving a significant removal of organic matter in water. However, these technologies are not adequately designed for the microplastic removal that remains in the final effluents.
Ultrafiltration (UF) embodies a feasible alternative for water treatment as it helps to attain drinking water of high quality economically due to low energy consumption, high separation efficiency, and compact plant size.

We change your living space
Membrane Bio Reactors (MBR) combine membranes with the initial process of an activated sludge method to make the recycling of water more efficient. Microfiltration membrane bioreactors (MBRs), a technology that has been increasingly used in the past ten years, mitigates and overcomes many of the limitations of conventional systems.
These systems have the advantage of combining a suspended biological reactor with solids removal through membrane filtration. The membranes can be designed and manufactured for and operated in small spaces and with a high elimination efficiency of contaminants such as nitrogen, phosphorus, bacteria, biochemical oxygen demand, and total suspended solids.
The membrane filtration system, in effect, can replace the secondary clarifier and sand filters in a typical activated sludge treatment system. Membrane filtration allows a higher biomass concentration to be maintained, thereby allowing smaller bioreactors to be used. We propose to use an anti-biofouling polyvinyl chloride/zinc oxide (PVC/ZnO) membrane manufactured through TIPS methodology.
